McKenna Johnston

Instructor & Choreographer

McKenna Johnston began dancing at the age of three and received her early training at Forte Studios in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and modern dance. As a member of Forte’s performance company, Xtension Dance Company, she had the opportunity to perform in a variety of professional settings, including aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, at a Wisconsin Bucks halftime performance, and for a panel of professional performers in Nashville, Tennessee.

McKenna began teaching dance at the age of 16 and has worked with students of many different ages and experience levels. She is especially passionate about helping young dancers build confidence, develop strong technical foundations, and discover the joy of movement.

She is currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, where she is majoring in Health Science and Wellness with a pre-occupational therapy emphasis and minoring in dance. In addition to her academic studies, McKenna continues to train under Michael Estanich, Kate Gomez-Moore, and Chris Kaiser. She will also complete her Health and Wellness Coaching Certificate this spring before beginning graduate studies.
