The Nutcracker 2026

Come enjoy Central Wisconsin School of Ballet’s 57th annual production of The Nutcracker! Recognized by Newsweek magazine as one of the nation’s nine most notable Nutcrackers, this beloved holiday tradition will once again feature guest artists from American Ballet Theatre. Celebrate this time-honored holiday tradition with your family and friends!

The Nutcracker Events

Celebrate the season with the Central Wisconsin School of Ballet’s The Nutcracker at The Grand Theater in Wausau. Bring the whole family for a performance filled with holiday magic, and visit the Great Hall for special activities.

Performances
Saturday, December 5, at 1:30 and 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 6, at 1:00 p.m.

Before the Saturday and Sunday matinées, children can make Nutcracker crafts and take a ballet lesson with Clara. After each matinée, they can meet characters from the show. Guests can also browse and bid on holiday gifts in our silent auction.
